Light Diesel Oil is a class C fuel with a flash point greater than 66OC. There are some leftover components mixed together with the distillate components. It is promoted as meeting the requirements of BIS 1460-2000 for diesel fuels.In engines with lower RPMs, LDO is employed. It serves as fuel for some boilers and furnaces as well as Lift irrigation pump sets and DG Sets.
